Rapid React, the 2022 game for the FIRST Robotics Competition, centered on transportation and logistics themes. In this game, two alliances, each comprising three teams, competed to score points by collecting and shooting oversized tennis balls, referred to as "Cargo," into a central "Hub." Teams aimed to score Cargo into either the lower or upper sections of the Hub, with the upper section yielding higher points. During the endgame phase, robots attempted to climb a series of ascending rungs within their alliance's "Hangar," earning additional points based on the height achieved. The game emphasized strategic coordination, precise shooting, and advanced climbing mechanisms, challenging teams to optimize their robots for both scoring and endgame tasks.
