Reefscape

Reefscape — the 2025 FIRST Robotics Competition game — challenges alliances of robots to “restore” a coral reef by scoring PVC-pipe pieces called “coral” onto a reef structure, and removing rubber-ball “algae” from the reef to score in nets or processors. Matches begin with a 15-second autonomous phase, followed by 2 minutes 15 seconds of driver-controlled play, during which robots gather coral (often from human “coral stations”) and algae, score them, and finally attempt to climb onto cages attached to a central “barge” for bonus end-game points. The alliance with the most points wins — with additional incentives for cooperation (through shared “Coopertition Points”) if both alliances score algae via processors.
